Engineered for endurance, agility, and durability, the VISION 60® Q-UGV® 5th stands as a mid-sized ground drone designed to thrive in all weather conditions. The Vision 60® Q-VG by Ghost Robotics excels in navigating novel environments, showcasing adaptability in the face of falls or vision sensor challenges. The Acorn Product Development team collaborated closely with Ghost Robotics to provide robust industrial design and mechanical engineering solutions. This partnership resulted in elevated aesthetics and enhanced functionality of the Vision 60 body panels, making it an ideal choice for defense, homeland, and enterprise applications.

CONTRIBUTIONS

Industrial Design

Protection and Utility

Our Vision 60 body panel design prioritizes functionality. Considering the nuances of the camera/sensor field of view, leg range of movement, charging port, and the top surface designated for accessory attachments, our panels balance protection and utility. The deliberate attachment design allows quick and efficient access to internal components when the need arises for repair or servicing.

Adaptive Opportunities

Vision 60's appeal spans diverse business sectors, and our panel design adapts to accommodate each scenario and the mounting of a myriad of accessories. Additionally, the enclosure opens avenues for strategic partner and co-branding opportunities.

Crafted for Impact

Our final design melds a robust aesthetic with resilient engineering, delivering a visually striking and supremely functional product. Leading this time-sensitive project, I orchestrated the journey from concept inception to execution. Collaborating closely with the design team, we shaped our solution to mirror the project's overarching goals. I facilitated the handoff with the engineering team, ensuring a seamless transition from design to development.
